Victoria Independent School District will host a community Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, to continue open and transparent discussions and engage stakeholders in learning more about a proposed May 2026 bond, including an opportunity to ask questions. The meeting will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Victoria Fine Arts Center, 1002 Sam Houston Drive.
Bond discussions have been ongoing since June 2025 through the work of the District’s Bond Action Committee.
Attendees will hear an overview of the Bond Action Committee’s work, followed by a detailed explanation of school finance, tax rates and bond projects.
A question-and-answer session will be facilitated by Board President and Bond Action Committee Co-Chair, Micah Patton. The panel will include Patton, Superintendent of Schools Sheila Collazo, Assistant Superintendent of Administration Justin Gabrysch, and Chief Financial Officer Michelle Yates.
Victoria ISD encourages parents, taxpayers, staff and community members to attend and participate in the discussion. The Town Hall is part of the District’s ongoing commitment to transparency, community engagement and open dialogue as facilities needs and long-term planning are evaluated.
No action will be taken at the meeting.
