Victoria ISD will salute the graduating Class of 2022 at Frost Field at Memorial Stadium on Thursday, May 26, Friday, May 27, and Saturday, May 28. Should Victoria experience inclement weather on the day of a graduation ceremony, the ceremony will be relocated to the Victoria ISD Fine Arts Center. The schedule and school assignments are below.

Specific details regarding the ceremonies will be shared with graduates by their campus.

Thursday, May 26:

  • Liberty Academy, 7 p.m.

Friday, May 27:

  • Victoria West High School, 8 p.m.

Saturday, May 28:

  • Victoria East High School, 8 p.m.

Graduation FAQ's

  • What time do graduates need to arrive, and where do they go? Graduates will receive all arrival and dismissal information from their home campus.

  • What time does the stadium open for friends and family?
    Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for those attending the Liberty Academy graduation ceremony and 6:30 p.m. for those attending Victoria East and West High School’s graduation ceremonies each evening.

  • Do we have to wear masks at graduation?
    Masks are not required for staff, students, or guests attending graduation.

  •   What items are prohibited at the stadium? Is there a clear bag policy?
    There is a clear bag policy; you can find more information HERE. You may not enter the stadium with any of the following items:

    • Outside Food or Drinks

    • Pets

    • Signs or Banners

    • Noisemakers

    • Balloons

    • Weapons of any kind

  • Is there somewhere to drop off friends or family coming to the ceremony?
    Yes, you may drop guests off at the main entrance on the home side of Frost Field at Memorial Stadium. 

  • Will there be drinks or snacks available at graduation?

  • Yes, we will have cold drinks and snacks available for purchase at the concession stand on the home side.

  • Is there handicapped parking and seating available if needed for our guests?
    Yes.

  • May we bring cameras into the stadium and take pictures at graduation?
    Yes, guests can bring cameras and take pictures from the bleachers during the ceremony.  

  • Will we be able to take pictures with our graduates on the field?
    Unfortunately, we will not be able to allow families and friends onto the field to take pictures with graduates before or after the ceremony. Professional photographs will be available for purchase if you are interested.

  • Will the ceremonies be live-streamed for friends and family who can’t make it?
    Yes, all graduation ceremonies will be live-streamed on the Victoria ISD YouTube channel.

  • How long is the graduation ceremony?
    The ceremony is approximately (2) hours long.

  • Where should we meet our graduates after the ceremony?
    After the ceremony, graduates process out of the stadium. Please make plans to meet your graduate following graduation.

  • Can we gather outside the stadium following the graduation ceremony?
    Congregation of groups after the ceremony is not allowed. Graduates and their families will continue their celebration at home.

  • What happens if there is rain?

    Should we experience bad weather, the graduation ceremony will transition to the Victoria ISD Fine Arts Center. Your child(s) home campus will provide more information regarding this.

  • What are the Graduate Guidelines?

  • Caps and gowns should be carried until the graduate has checked in at the designated entrance.

  • Decorations are not allowed on caps and tassels worn on the right side of the cap.

  • Due to the turf at Frost Field, pointy or sharp heels are prohibited. Students will be asked to shoes are not allowed in the stadium will be required to remove their shoes. 

  • How will diplomas be distributed?
    The Superintendent of Schools will be handing out diploma covers to students and shaking the graduate's hand along with campus principals and the Board of Trustees.
