District of Innovation
In 2016, Victoria ISD became one of Texas's first school districts to be recognized as a District of Innovation, allowing VISD to pursue specific innovations in curriculum, instruction, parent and community involvement, and other innovative educational ideas. The 84th Legislature's House Bill 1842 will enable Districts of Innovation, such as VISD, to create pathways focused on inspiring teaching and empowering learning.
