winter guard

On Saturday, March 12, Victoria West High School’s Indoor Percussion and Integrity Winter Guard teams competed at the Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) competition at Davenport High School in San Antonio.

Indoor Percussion placed first overall in the Scholastic AA Class, sweeping first in all categories and qualifying for Area on Saturday, April 2 at Pasadena Memorial High School in Pasadena. A top-five finish at Area will earn the team a spot in the State Championship to be held at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Integrity Winter Guard competed in the Novice Class State Championship, finishing seventh in their division. Across all competitions this year, the guard earned two third-place finishes, something that had not been achieved before. This year’s guard consisted of 14 students, with only four having picked up a flag and rifle before.

Good luck to Indoor Percussion and congratulations to Integrity Winter Guard on a great season!
