free meals/titan

The Victoria ISD will offer free meals to all of its students for the duration of the 2021-22 school year through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s ‘Seamless Summer Option’.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided at all campuses. Dinner will also be offered at campuses that host after-school tutoring and programs.

“By providing these free meals through the USDA Seamless Summer Option, it is our intent to help our VISD families during these difficult economic times,” said Dana Bigham, director of child nutrition programs.

VISD still needs parents to complete free/reduced meal applications if they have not already received an eligibility letter. These applications are used to determine if students qualify for P-EBT benefits for the 2021-22 school year and for free/reduced meals for the first 30 days of the 2022-23 school year.

The school district is also introducing Titan, a new student and staff meal account program. In Titan, parents will be able to manage their student’s meal accounts, and staff can manage their own accounts. As of Aug 3, Titan is live on the VISD website. Parents and staff are encouraged to create their accounts and make themselves familiar with the platform.
