What is the Profile of a VISD Graduate?

Current and former VISD students are being asked to share what characteristics and skills helped them succeed in school and allowed them to find their "AND."

Every Victoria ISD alumni and student has an individual story about who they are, what this District means to them. Brought together in an environment that encourages every child, every classroom, every day, Victoria ISD alumni and students have so much to offer, now and as they progress through life.

We ask former and current Victoria ISD students to share what characteristics and skills helped you get through school and allowed you to find your AND. What characteristics and skills helped you become the learner you are today and the person you are today.

This will help Victoria ISD develop the Profile of a Graduate.

The Profile of a Graduate is a part of the District Strategic Plan's continued work and the Resilient School Support Program. The District Strategic Plan was created by the Victoria ISD Board of Trustees, administration, and community members as part of the System of Great Schools, which began in 2019 and was approved by Trustees on March 11, 2021.

Profile of a Graduate will reflect our community's expectations about what they believe a student should know and be able to do as they transition from grade spans and upon graduation. This profile will help the District design our work moving forward as we begin to develop our Community-based Accountability.

Victoria ISD is asking alumni and students to participate in a Thoughtexchange that asks, “What characteristics and skills helped you become the learner and person you are today,” to help create the Profile of a Graduate of Victoria ISD.
