VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS VICTORIA ISD

The Victoria ISD Board of Trustees is seeking an educational leader to serve as the Superintendent of Schools. The candidate qualifications:

  • Possess Texas Superintendent certification

  • Doctorate preferred

  • Superintendent experience preferred (minimum 3 years)

  • Administrator experience required (minimum 5 years)

  • Teaching experience required (minimum 3 years)

  • Planning and construction experience preferred

  • School finance and budget experience preferred

  • Has experience with bond elections preferred

  • Required to live in the district

  • June 10, 2024 | Regular Monthly School Board Meeting - The Board will hear presentations on services and qualifications by Superintendent Search Firms relating to the Superintendent Search

  • June 5, 2024 | Special Called School Board Meeting - Board Selects Firms to Interview for Superintendent Search

  • May 16, 2024 | Regular Monthly Board Meeting/Workshop for Superintendent Search Timeline

  • May 8, 2024 | RFP issued for Consulting Firms for Superintendent Search

  • April 25, 2024 | Victoria ISD Board of Trustees accept Dr. Quintin Shepherd's resignation and names Deputy Superintendent Randy Meyer as the Interim Superintendent.

  • April 4, 2024 | Dr. Quintin Shepherd, Superintendent of Schools is approved by the Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Schools for Pflugerville ISD.

The Victoria Independent School District (VISD) is inviting all community members to participate in a series of public meetings as part of the search for a new superintendent. 

Your input is essential in selecting the educational leader who will guide our district toward achieving excellence for all students.

Public Meeting Schedule:

  • Monday, August 5

    • Shields Elementary at 5:30 p.m.

    • Aloe Elementary at 7 p.m.

  • Tuesday, August 6

    • Hopkins Elementary at 5:30 p.m.

    • Vickers Elementary at 7 p.m.

  • Monday, August 19

    • Mission Valley Elementary at 6 p.m.
