The Victoria ISD Communications Department is accepting applications for its first-ever VISD Insider Academy, a four-week educational program that will provide VISD-zoned residents with an inside look at your public school district and show you how to get involved!

SCHEDULE

The VISD Insider Academy will consist of four engaging sessions, to be hosted over four Tuesdays: April 16, April 23, April 30, and May 7, 2024, from 5:30 to 7 P.M. at various VISD facilities. A fifth session will be available for a facilities tour.

OVERVIEW

Participants will:

  • Meet District Administration and staff

  • Learn how decisions are made with presentations on governance and leadership

  • Hear comprehensive overviews of curriculum, finance and operations, and communications and student services

  • Participate in discussions

  • Optional tours of district campuses and facilities

  • Be in the know!

APPLICATIONS

Any VISD-zoned resident interested in learning about public education and how your public school district operates is invited to attend. We will accept up to 30 residents as academy participants.

Applications for the 2024 academy will open on Monday, March 18, and close on Friday, March 29 at 4 p.m. Participants will be notified via email by April 3, 2024.

The academy is free to VISD-zoned residents 18 years and older.
