Back to school starts here

As the first day of school, Wednesday, August 12, approaches, Victoria ISD is reminding families of several important back-to-school updates, including student schedules, upcoming campus events, dress code expectations, and district procedures.

Middle and High School Student Schedules

Middle and high school student schedules will be emailed to families beginning Friday, Aug. 7. Schedules will be sent to the email address used during student registration.

To ensure successful delivery, schedules will be released in batches beginning Friday morning and continuing throughout the day and over the weekend. Families are encouraged to allow time for all schedules to be processed before contacting their campus.

If you have completed registration and have not received your studentโ€™s schedule by Monday, Aug. 10, please contact your childโ€™s campus for assistance.

Review the Student Dress Code

As families shop for back-to-school clothing, Victoria ISD encourages parents and guardians to review the districtโ€™s student dress code to ensure students are prepared for the first day of school. Reviewing the guidelines ahead of time can help avoid any first-day concerns.

The complete dress code is available HERE.

Personal Communication Devices Expectations

Victoria ISD also reminds families that House Bill 1481, which took effect last school year, prohibits students from using personal communication devices, including cell phones, during the instructional day. Students are expected to keep devices turned off and stored away throughout the school day in accordance with district procedures.

Families are encouraged to review these expectations with their students before the first day of school to help ensure a smooth transition back to the classroom.
