The Victoria ISD Board of Trustees has approved the 2026โ27 Academic Calendar earlier than in previous years to give parents and staff additional time to plan summer schedules well in advance.
The 2026โ27 school year will begin on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and conclude on Thursday, May 27, 2027, before Memorial Day weekend.
Traditionally, the Board of Trustees approves the academic calendar in February. For the 2026โ27 school year, Administration moved the approval timeline to December to provide families and staff with earlier access to key school dates, allowing for planning related to summer activities, childcare, travel, and professional commitments.
The approved calendar will be available on the district website at www.visd.net/academiccalendars.
