At its November 20 Regular Monthly Board Meeting, the Victoria ISD Board of Trustees approved a Districtwide Retention Incentive to recognize and support VISD employees for their ongoing service and dedication to students and families across the district.
All eligible district employees will receive the one-time incentive in their December payroll, as follows:
Full-time employees: $600
Part-time employees (working 15 hours or more per week): $300
The district has communicated all eligibility requirements and payment guidelines directly to employees.
This action directly supports the district’s Strategic Plan. VISD’s core belief, VISD Values People, and Strategic Priority #2: Empowered Staff, the district is committed to enhancing recognition practices and affirming staff as valued members of a people-centered organization.
“Every day, VISD employees show resilience, professionalism, and heart,” said Superintendent Sheila Collazo. “This recognition reflects our deep appreciation for employees’ ongoing commitment to our students, our community, and the mission and vision that guide our work each day. Each distinct position is foundational to our success and critical to achieving student-centered outcomes.”
The Board’s approval reinforces VISD’s ongoing effort to elevate staff recognition and invest in those who serve the district’s nearly 13,000 students. The one-time incentive also aligns with the district’s broader priorities of strengthening staff morale, stability, and support.
