Victoria ISD is pleased to announce that LโRhonda Boyd, current assistant principal at OโConnor Elementary, will transition into a new leadership role as principal of Chandler Elementary School beginning with the 2025โ26 school year.
Boyd brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to student success, having served as a dedicated educator and campus leader within VISD. She began her education career as a paraprofessional at F.W. Gross Elementary before becoming a classroom teacher at Smith Elementary, where she taught for 10 years. She then served as an instructional coach at OโConnor Elementary for seven years and has been the assistant principal at OโConnor since 2023.
Boyd earned her bachelorโs degree from Prairie View A&M University and her masterโs degree from the University of Houston-Victoria. Her background in curriculum development, student support services, and instructional leadership uniquely positions her to continue the strong tradition of excellence at Chandler Elementary.
