My name is Patricia Baik. It’s wonderful to have your students in my class. I have been in Texas for over twelve years and in Victoria for two years. I teacher Art I, Art II Ceramics and Art II Sculpture. “Inspiration is plentiful but it must find you working” is a quote from Pablo Picasso and my class motto. Be present and ready to make art, you will be rewarded with beautiful pieces to keep for years to come.

We also learn to write about art which includes describing, assessing and evaluating art. Students are asked to write regularly about their own pieces. Part of class is participating in art events and competitions such as Visual Art Scholastic Event and Houston Live Stock and Rodeo Art . Students are expected to participate in at least one event.

Late assignments will be reduced by 5% per weekday that it is late so don’t be late. Assignments may also be photographed and emailed. My email is patricia.baik@visd.net. Failure to do your work may result in repeating the class or making up credit thru another class in the future. Failure to follow directions and policies may result in after school detention and/or office referral. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
