Jennings Gonzalez
Jennings Gonzalez was born and raised in Victoria, Texas and graduated from Victoria East High School in 2011. She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas in May 2015. As a trombone player, Mrs. Gonzalez performed with the UNT Brass Band, UNT Green Brigade Marching Band, UNT Basketball Pep Band, UNT Volleyball Pep Band, and numerous trombone choirs and quartets. She was also a member of North Texas Student Music Educators and Trombones at North Texas.
Outside of school, Mrs. Gonzalez was involved in Drum Corps International, marching baritone with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2010 and marching euphonium with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps in 2013 and 2014. She performed with Blue Devils International during the summer of 2015, touring through Holland, France, Italy, England, and Switzerland.
She enjoys playing in local ensembles, including the Crossroads Community Band and the Corpus Christi Municipal Band. Jennings is currently a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and fellow band director, Carlos Gonzalez, and their dogs, Jack and Izzie!
