Mr. VanHook attended school in Waco, Texas, completing elementary and high school at Richfield High. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Liberty University and is currently enrolled in Truett Seminary working on his Master of Divinity degree.
Mr. VanHook has been a pastor for 25 years, with 18 of those years as a bi-vocational pastor. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor for St. Peters Baptist Church in Victoria. Previously, Mr. VanHook worked for the Veteran Administration Hospital in Waco for 28 years in the Community Resident Program, the PTSD program as a Medical Administrative Support, and as Director of a community residence home.
Mr. VanHook has served on the VISD Board of Trustees for six years. He was also actively involved with Parents for Public Schools for ten years.
Kevin’s wife of 35 years is Carol Worthey VanHook. They have two children, Kevin VanHook II and Chelsea VanHook Swenney, and one grandson, Armani Swenney.
