NOTE: Furnishing false information on school documents is a criminal offense under Penal Code 37.10.
The exceptions are as follows:
Pre-Kindergarten: State-Funded Enrollment (Four-Year-Old Students)
Parents/guardians of pre-kindergarten eligible students should register online for the school in his/her attendance zone (see "Attendance Zones") prior to the start of the upcoming school year during which the child will begin pre-kindergarten. Parent/guardian will be required to present necessary additional enrollment information at that time. For additional information regarding Pre-K, call the Early Childhood Department at 361.788.9294.

Applications for Pre-K Enrollment
Kindergarten Student Enrollment
Parents/guardians of kindergarten eligible students should register online for the school assigned to his/her attendance zone (see "Attendance Zones") prior to the start of the upcoming school year during which the child would begin kindergarten. Parent/guardian will be required to present necessary enrollment information at that time.
First Grade Student Enrollment
Students who are 4 or 5 years old may enroll in the first grade if the child has successfully completed kindergarten or is currently enrolled in the first grade in an accredited public or private school. Students who are 6 years old will enroll in the first grade unless the student was recommended for kindergarten retention by an accredited public or private school.
How Does Online Registration Work?
Parents/guardians will receive an email (to the email address on file). An individual email will be delivered for each student enrolled in the district. It will contain online registration instructions as well as a unique "snapcode" that is needed to begin the online registration process for that particular student. Parents/guardians will also receive a printed version of the email via school letter. If your email address or physical address is incorrect or needs to be changed, please contact your child's campus immediately.
Note: Once the form is electronically submitted, you will receive an e-mail confirmation but that does not mean your child’s registration is “complete.” You must still submit all required documents to the school either by uploading them during online registration or by hand-delivering them to the school before registration is “COMPLETE.”
If you have trouble with the online process or do not have access to a computer, each campus will have computers available for parental use. Please call the school during regular business hours to make an appointment should you need to access a school computer for registration.
