If your student received a device or a hotspot from VISD, and your student is not attending summer school in JUNE, their laptops, ipads, and / or hotspots, and all accessories need to be returned to VISD by May 29, 2020.
Early drop off will occur on May 22, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at Stroman Middle School (3002 E North St) in the large parking lot off of Ben Wilson Street. Please follow the signs for drop off.
Drop off on May 26 – 28 will be split up based on the first letter of the guardian’s last name. Please see the schedule below for drop off dates:
Please make sure that you return all cases, boxes, and chargers with your devices and hotspots and that they are charged and turned on for inspection upon arrival. If your computer is damaged or returned without any accessories, you will be required to pay the amount listed on the Lending Agreement you signed upon pickup.

Reminder: Free Internet Service for Families Available
We recently shared resources for families to gain access to the Internet at home.
Student Technology Device Distribution
This week, Victoria ISD will continue curbside technology pickup at varying locations across the District to issue equipment such as laptops and iPads to students who do not already have them. Technology pickup is by appointment only.
Due to shipping delays, internet hotspots will be distributed April 16th and 17th. Please note, this effort is being prioritized for students with no technology device available for at-home learning. We have limited devices available and are doing our best to get these devices to our students who truly need them for at-home learning. Staff is continuing to review technology survey submissions and contact parents to schedule device pickup.

If you have a Pre-K -12th grade student currently enrolled in VISD who does not have a device that they can use to access online instruction, or does not currently have home internet access, and you were unable to fill out our previous device survey, please fill out the new survey here: This survey is no longer available; closed April 1.
Please do not fill out this survey if you have previously filled out the device survey or have called and had a staff member fill out the survey for you, or if you called and were put on a waiting list.
After filling out the survey, if your student is eligible to receive a device or internet hotspot, a campus Librarian will call you to schedule a pickup time. Please be advised that due to inventory limitations, there may be an extended delay between survey completion and device pickup.
If you were unable to fill out the survey or have transportation concerns, please call 361-788-2828 to speak with a staff member who will complete the form for you, schedule your time slot, and help address your concerns.
After 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 1st, the survey will close, and no further calls for devices will be accepted. We will not be opening another survey for devices after this one.
REASONS YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE A DEVICE:
Please be advised that you will be required to pay a minimum of $20 for each device and accessory that you either return to us damaged, or that has been stolen or lost. If the device has been stolen, the district must be provided with a police report of the incident within 10 business days, otherwise the device will be deemed “lost” and you will be required to pay the district for the full price of the device. A cost table associated with these charges will be located on the agreement you will receive and be asked to sign upon device pickup.
The “Technology Lending Agreement” posted below has been updated to reflect these changes. All costs in the cost table on that agreement are for example only and are subject to change.

Student Technology Needs Survey Available
If you have a Pre-K - 12th grade student currently enrolled in VISD who does not have a device they can use to access online instruction, or does not currently have home internet access, please fill out the survey here: This survey is no longer available; closed March 27.
After filling out the survey, if your student is eligible to receive a device or internet hotspot, a campus librarian will call you to schedule a pickup time.
If you are unable to fill out the survey or have transportation concerns, please call 361-788-2828 starting Tuesday, March 24th to speak with a librarian who will assist in completing the form for you, scheduling your time slot, and addressing your concerns. To help expedite this process, all librarians will be answering this phone line, so you may not be connected to your librarian at the your student's home campus. All librarians will be able to assist all guardians, regardless of which campus the students are enrolled.
Ahe survey will close, and no further calls for devices will be accepted.
Please see below for the Technology Lending Agreement which parents/guardians will be asked to sign upon device pickup and the Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement. These are informational only.
Please read these documents ahead of time to help expedite device pickup, but do not sign the Technology Lending Agreement ahead of time. We will have one for you to sign when you are picking up a device.
