Stroman Life Skills Students Spread Kindness to the Community

Stroman Middle School's Assistant Principal, Carrie Majewski, reached out to Meagan Wright, a nurse at Citizens' Hospital to see if her students could help make Halloween special for the families with children in the NICU.

Mrs. Styra's Life Skills students along with some of VISD's Special Education Department created Halloween superhero costumes for the NICU babies to go along with Stroman's theme for the year, "The Superheroes of Tomorrow".

It just so happened that the Diagnostician at West High School, Laci Burns, had just delivered twin girls on Tuesday. Congratulations to the to Mrs. Burns and her husband, Bruce, on the birth of their daughters, Madyson (Bat Girl) and Macey (Wonder Woman).

Mrs. Majewki would like to give a shout-out to Amanda Kern, Katelin Bena, Krystal Clark, Shannon Beyer-Kaminski, Jeanie Borden, and Shawna Currie for helping the students and making the project a success! A special shout-out to Ms. Lori Mayfield, Assistant Principal at Stroman, for helping organize the project.

They were definitely #VISDKind!
