VWHS Students Place Top 25 in the SA Stock Show & Rodeo Western Art Competition

Congratulations to these six Victoria West High School students who clinched spots in the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Western Art competition Top 25!
From hundreds of artists across the San Antonio region, their artworks were selected to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The students will receive the full amount in scholarship form.
Sana Saif earned the prestigious 1st spot for her oil painting on rusted metal and is this year's GRAND CHAMPION! Jade Burriss and Emily Duke will also be part of the live auction for making Top 15. Rebecca Reyes, Ariana Valle, and Piper Kallman will be part of the silent auction.
If you would like to add on to one of their scholarships, you can ask the student or Mrs. Ardner for a form or click on this link:
After yesterday's reception, the artwork will move on for exhibition at the The Briscoe Western Art Museum until the auction on January 25th. After the auction you can view the art at the rodeo before it goes home with the highest bidder.
A very important note is that three of the students--Jade, Emily, and Piper--all had Mrs. Kallman as their elementary art teacher at Vickers! Thank you Mrs. Kallman for planting and nourishing those priceless seeds.
